RIO QUOTA
He was part of the men's quadruple sculls boat that finished fifth at the 2015 World Championships in Aiguebelette, France, which secured qualification for Switzerland in the event at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. (worldrowing.com, 01 Dec 2015; delarze-rowing.ch, 01 Jul 2015)

TURNING POINT
At age 18 he spent two months training at the Imperial College in Putney, London in Great Britain, which he described as a turning point in his career. He was inspired by the dedication of British university rowing crews, and it gave him the motivation to compete at the Olympic Games one day. "The people there were so open, relaxed and spontaneous.
